The new “Artisan Bacon Sandwich” at Starbucks is an improvement over their first generation sandwich offerings in one critical way: it isn’t utterly destroyed by microwave reheating.

I haven’t seen whether they’ve made changes to the preparation & serving process, but this experience is more like a sandwich than the 1st gen “Fat Free Turkey Bacon Hot Mess”.

Update: Mary told me today that these sandwiches are all reheated using a convection oven, not a microwave.
