I’ve been enjoying Season One of Happiness, the BBC comedy co-written and starring Paul Whitehouse of The Fast Show and the brilliant therapy-based character comedy Help. Happiness opens with 39 yr old Danny checking his bald spot in the mirror and preparing for his wife’s funeral. It’s funny without being ridiculous, addresses seriously human moments without being manipulative. It’s an honest look at a sad, vulnerable man rapidly approaching middle age. I can’t imagine why it appeals to me so much 8^) I also have invites to The Box, an excellent BitTorrent tracker for Brit TV.
